Job Summary:
A Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a high standard of laundry services to maintain cleanliness and ensure guest satisfaction. This role includes washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabrics, adhering to the hotel’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing following the proper procedures.
Operate and maintain laundry machines (washers, dryers, ironers) safely and efficiently.
Treat stains and inspect all items for wear and tear, replacing or reporting damaged items.
Iron and press clothing or linens as needed, ensuring a crisp and professional appearance.
Keep the laundry area clean and organized, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Assist in managing laundry supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
Deliver clean linens and uniforms to respective departments in a timely manner.
Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, addressing any laundry-related requests or concerns.
Follow the hotel’s policies and guidelines to maintain a professional environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in laundry services or housekeeping preferred.
Familiarity with laundry equipment and stain removal techniques.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy items.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
